Ok first of all I have limited space and Onepiece is very long so I have to make my reviews short ok? Let's get started. So it all starts when the greatest pirate comes into Luffy's town, this piraye's name is Shanks. Luffy wants to join his crew but Shanks is a basturd and doesn't let him. So to prove his bravery Luffy stabs himself right below his left eye, that's how he gets the scar. Shanks then says that Luffy could join when he's older. When Luffy gets older he sets out to become king of pirates and meets up with a kid named Cory (i think, i forget these things) who is the cabin boy for a badass pirate. Luffy saves Cory and they then head out to another town where they meet Roronoa Zoro. A badass swordsman that uses santoryu style (three swords). Luffy and Cory save Zoro and fight the navy that was going to kill Zoro. Cory stays behind to become a navy officer while Zoro and Luffy head out to search for more crew members. They end up in a town that is being over run by a clown pirate named Buggy. Luffy meets a theif girl named Nami and together, with Zoro of course, they kick his ass and get the hell outta there after takeing all of Buggy's gold. A couple little things happen while they're sailing but I'll let you find them out since they have no point in the story..yet. They, along with Nami, get to a town where they meet a dude named Usopp that has all ways wanted to be a pirate. Luffy and Usopp discover a evil plot set by a butler to one of Usopp's best friends, but when Usopp goes to tell the town no one belives him cuz he was allways lying about pirates attacking. Once the group, Nami, Zoro, Luffy, and Usopp, regroup they set a trap for the pirates. They made a mistake and picked the wrong port to set the trap and have to rush to the other port. Luffy goes the wrong way while Zoro gets stuck in the trap they set. After some time Luffy and Zoro meet up with Usopp and Nami and kick some pirate ass.
I really enjoy reading this manga and for the low price of $7.95 U.S. dollars i suggest you pick up all volumes. It's funny as hell, tons of action, characters that actually matter, and it's BLOODY!! *excelent* Eiichiro Oda must be the best damn manga artist in the world to have such an awesome manga and anime (in japan). Pick these up NOW if you don't allready have them. Till next time!
